COVID-19: The Ticino State Council decree orders temporary closure of non-essential production facilities such as PAMP, a refinery

MKS PAMP GROUP, the industrial and trading services group specializing in all aspects of the precious metals business announces that one of its refineries, PAMP based in Ticino, Switzerland is temporarily closed following the orders of a government decree to battle COVID-19. The refinery is closed with immediate effect.  

Since the inception of COVID-19, the MKS PAMP GROUP has focused on the safety and well-being of their employees by implementing precautionary measures based on the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and respective governments.

As a result of the Ticino State Council decree to close all non-essential production facilities, PAMP will be closed for one week until 29th March 2020.

They remain committed to working with all of their customers; however, these actions will incur delays to processes to which all of their customers have been individually contacted & informed.

Over the past months, we have increased our measures to safeguard our employees and to work with the authorities in safekeeping our community, we are collaborating closely with our employees, customers and partners to ensure they are informed every step of the way and await for the refinery to be reopened next week”, stated Nadia Haroun, CEO at PAMP, an MKS PAMP GROUP Company.

The remaining activities of MKS PAMP GROUP companies remain currently unaffected by COVID-19. As a precautionary measure, most MKS PAMP GROUP employees are working from their homes to reduce the risk of transmission and ensure to the best of their ability the continuity of their business operations.
